Description: Winry is roughly 5’5 with long blonde hair that reaches her waist and blue eyes. She usually wears her hair up, usually in a ponytail or clipped behind her head, with pieces of loose hair framing her face. She’s slim and fit with a little bit of muscle from hauling around heavy equipment. She prefers light clothing while she’s working; tube tops and halters under a pair of overalls, but dresses more stylishly when not at work, favoring blouses, tank tops, skirts, capri pants, and boots.

Powers: Winry is just a normal human. But she does have great mechanical skills and know-how. She builds automail which are prosthesis made entirely of metal that connect to a person’s nerve endings. Due to the nature of how automail is connected, she also has limited surgical know-how and first aid knowledge. She also uses a wrench as her main ‘weapon’ of sorts which she uses to beat up idiots (namely Ed) with.

Hell Status: Limbo Case

What Brings Them To Hell: While Winry may not seem like a likely candidate for Hell, Heaven does have some concerns about whether to accept her or not. For one, she has a tendency towards violence (beating people over the heads with a wrench is not seen as being very angel like). And secondly, due to the nature of her death (hit and run) and the fact that she did not look both ways before crossing the street, her actions could be deemed reckless endangerment. Heaven also doesn’t look fondly on jay-walking.

The Pitch: The most important thing to know about Winry is that she loves automail, like loves it. Like the kind of love that makes people wax poetic. She would probably write poems about automail if she wasn’t so busy actually constructing them. She also loves tools (particularly wrenches) and has no qualms about spending hundreds of dollars of other people’s (Ed’s) money on them. She also has a fascination with taking things apart and learning how they work and coming up with ways to improve them. This makes her a very curious person as well as a very blunt person because she has no problem spazzing out over other people’s automail, refrigerated trucks, tools, etc. It’s…kind of embarrassing to watch sometimes. Needless to say, she’s quite excitable about things she’s interested in.

The second most important thing to know is that Winry has a temper and a tendency to resort to violently swinging a wrench around when she’s angry. She will legitimately pummel someone over the head with a wrench if they piss her off. She also can get catty when frustrated or irritated, particularly during arguments with Ed where she will taunt him about his height because she knows it bothers him. Basically she's not afraid to push people's buttons.

But Winry is, at her core, a healer and someone who cares about helping others. Her work with automail is important to her because she knows that people rely on her and her work to make their bodies complete again and to allow them to keep living their lives and keep their mobility. She’s willing to help anyone who might need it, including Wrath, a homunculi who once fought against Ed and Al, who she took in and worked on automail for him. She’s also extremely protective of the people she cares about, always willing to stand up for them and help them anyway she can. When the Elrics are wanted by the military Winry creates a machine that will take her to them despite the fact that being in contact with them could put her in danger as well. She also builds automail for Ed years after his disappearance because she wants to be prepared in case of his return.

Setting Fit: As soon as she can Winry is likely to start trying to get her hands on some tools, either through what is readily available or through more…frowned upon methods. Such as having certain things smuggled in from the living world. She’s got to make a living somehow okay. Once she’s achieved that she will work towards gaining customers and opening up her own automail shop in Little Hades. In a place like Hell there’s bound to be people in need of metal limbs! She’ll be unhappily housed in the Limbo apartments probably somewhere near the top and soon become a veteran at being trapped in the elevators.
